Last Thursday and Firday

Thursday we collected from "What's Brewing" and "Coastal Grocers". The Daily Bagel wasn't able to give us anything. But we were able to collect 1 loaf of bread 5 bags of potatoes, a bunch of lemons and some overly ripe pears.

We were not able to serve this Friday because it rained all day. But me and Erik Donated all that food to the Shelter in Salem.

Friday, april 2nd 2010

We had the most food for this chapter ever last Friday, we Made rice, beans and vegetables, loafs of bread, tons of canned foods, we made Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, we also served at the first Baptist Church. A very successful day, maybe 6 people showed up to help, but we had to have served close to or more than 50 people, with plenty of food left over. Afterward we made a large donation of cooked and non-perishable food to the river house. Good day.

March 27th, 2010

Today we had our first food not bombs serving day. It went really well, we had a total of 8 people helping, and we served about 20 people, including ourselves. The woman who runs the Farmers market came by and I gave her a packet of our information.

But we served breads, bagels, rolls, pastries, stir fry, asparagus, rice and beans, Hot black Tea, chips, and muffins. It was a successful day, we got some video footage and pictures. We are debating what day to have it on, and where we should cook the food in the future. Randi and Leah have a little band together and they might play at the servings days when it is warm to draw people in, and have nice music to listen too.

I hope for this to keep going.
